LIP BLUSHING
LIP BLUSHING
This is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after services. Lip Blush is a temporary lip tattoo for a soft, natural appearance that enhances your lip shade. At Revive Beauty Solutions, our lip blush service adds instant colors to your lips and defines their shape. The technique rejuvenates your lips to give them a more youthful appearance.
Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that alters the color and shape of your lips. At The Aesthetic Studio, we believe that beauty isn't something set in stone. This is why our services are specially designed to suit the goals of our clients and prioritize their safety over everything else. We treat each client differently, as per their skin type and body features.
Our permanent makeup artist provides Ukrainian standard services, and has 1+ years of experience in permanent makeup. We will be adding her before and afters to our page below and social media as she works her magic In our office.

FAQS
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Please be honest about your health conditions and do not exclude any details in your consent form as this will greatly affect the procedure, healing, and final results. To be eligible for permanent makeup, clients cannot:
• Have had brows or lips previously done by another artist (please send pictures to info@theaestheticstudio.ca for assessment prior to booking)
• Be pregnant/nursing
• Be under 18 years old
• Take any medications that cause the blood to thin
• Have a heart condition or bleeding disorder
• Have an auto-immune disorder that affects wound healing
• Have advanced or unstable diabetes
• Have skin disorders on/around the brow or lip area (eczema, psoriasis, cystic acne, etc.)
• Have known allergies to any inks or anesthetics
• Have taken Accutane in the last 12 months
• Have had chemo or radiation therapy in the last 12 months
• Have used retinol or retinol-based products in the last 14 days
• Have used eyebrow growth serum or glaucoma drops in the last 6 months
DO I NEED A CONSULTATION BEFORE BOOKING?
We do not require you to book a consultation with our permanent makeup artist, but we do offer complimentary consultations should you wish to speak with Stanislava prior to committing to the service appointment.
Clients who have previous permanent makeup done by another artist MUST submit photos prior to booking the service.
DOES IT HURT TO HAVE DONE?
Permanent makeup techniques are typically not painful, as long as the artist is experienced. Clients will experience a scratching sensation at most, but our medical Grade compound numbing gel (which is used by Nurse Meg in injection clients) is applied throughout your entire service to increase client comfort.
HOW LONG DO THE OMBRE BROWS LAST?
On average, eyebrow tattooing can last 1-3 years between touch-ups. This is all depending on lifestyle, skin type, aftercare, and desired results. Oilier skin types, frequent exfoliant users, and lighter colour pigments tend to fade faster. Longevity of brows is client dependent and varies by individual.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED A TOUCH-UP?
After the perfecting session, a touch-up is recommended at 12-18 months. After this first 12-18 month touch-up, clients can expect to wait another 2-3 years before having another touch-up. The longer time in between touch-ups, the better for skin health. Touch-ups are not required annually, in fact, annual touch-ups are discouraged to preserve skin integrity.
WHAT SHOULD I DO THE DAY OF MY PERMANENT MAKEUP APPOINTMENT?
In addition to meeting the eligible candidate criteria, clients are also asked to avoid the following prior to their scheduled visit:
- Botox or any type of facial treatment for 4 weeks before and after
- Tanning or exposing the area to UV rays for 4 weeks
- Picking/tweezing/waxing/threading/tinting for 2 weeks
- Fish Oils or Vitamin E (blood thinners) for 2 weeks
- Alcohol for 48 hours prior
- Aspirin or Ibuprofen 48 hours prior (blood thinners)
- Exercise on the day of procedure and for the duration of the healing period
- Coffee on the day of procedure
What to Expect AFTER MY APPOINTMENT?
Immediately after, brows will appear darker/thicker than expected and there is redness/warmth in the colour due to underlying redness in the skin - this will subside. There may also be some lymphatic fluid draining from the skin as a natural immune response. For the following 7-14 days, the brows will dry out and form a complete scab. After 4-7 days, the scabs will begin to crack and flake off in chunks - this can look scary but it is NORMAL! After peeling, they will appear exceptionally light and/or patchy and pink; do not panic if the colour seems to disappear - it will slowly resurface. After 6-8 weeks, the brows are considered fully healed and we will adjust any imperfections in the colour/shape at the perfecting session.
What CAN I DO TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF MY PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Eyebrow tattoos can last many years if proper care is taken. After healing, clients should always apply SPF to their brows prior to sun exposure and avoid having direct sunlight on their face. Acids and other active ingredients in skin care should also be avoided on/around the brow area as these products can fade and distort the pigment colour. If having a facial/chemical peel/medical treatment (MRI, etc.), the technician should be informed and MUST avoid the tattooed area. If the tattoo is fading but the shape is still visible, clients can opt to apply makeup and/or have brow henna/tinting over top. Tattooed brows are meant to be LOW-MAINTENANCE, not no-maintenance - clients should still expect to groom stray hairs and apply some makeup as needed.
CAN I BOOK A TOUCH-UP WITH YOU IF I HAD WORK DONE BY ANOTHER ARTIST?
Not all clients with existing brow tattoos are eligible for our services. Each case needs to be individually assessed to determine whether it is even possible to work over the existing brows. In many cases, saline tattoo lightening is recommended first in order to start with a blank canvas. Please email photos to info@theaestheticstudio.ca to be assessed by our permanent makeup artist.
What are my aftercare instructions?
For 7-14 days after:
- Absolutely NO water, sweat, makeup, or any product should go on/around the brows (other than when washing) - the brows need to be kept dry
- Clients are asked to gently wash their new brows with a mild soap and warm water, pat dry, then apply a THIN layer of ointment (twice daily, morning and night)
- Keep a towel close by when showering to pat dry if/when they get wet and do not let the shower spray directly onto the face
- DO NOT pick or scratch the scabs, allow them to exfoliate naturally - picking will cause scarring and poor retention
- Do not use any cleansing or facial products that contain active ingredients
- Avoid exercise, hot showers, pools, saunas, etc. for the duration of the scabbing period
- Use a fresh pillowcase when sleeping and avoid sleeping on the face until the scabs have all fallen off
- No facials, botox, or chemical treatments for 4 weeks
- Avoid tanning and direct sun exposure for 4 weeks
Permanent Makeup is an INVESTMENT and these recommendations are in place to protect this investment; should any client choose not to follow the aftercare instructions, the risk of imperfect brows and poor retention is almost guaranteed.
